Greatbatch – Orthopaedics

Greatbatch Medical selected ahp Architects Inc. for the renovation to their existing 70,000 square foot orthopaedics facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The scope for this project includes providing a new envelope for the existing building shell as well as a complete interior renovation. A new masonry and Alucobond facade with large expanses of glass openings replaced the existing vertical metal panels/concrete block with small punched openings exterior. By sequencing portions of the building skin replacement, facility operations were allowed to remain in process throughout the life of the project. Interior building features include new innovative meeting spaces as well as a new 3,000 square foot lunchroom.
